 IT Security Architect

As our new IT Security Architect your key role will play a pivotal role in identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities, support the design of a vulnerability management and penetration test program, conducting risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments, and developing effective mitigation strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and cloud platforms. They should be proficient in a range of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, endpoint protection, and identity and access management solutions.

You will be part of a highly skilled, supportive, and enthusiastic department of diverse and experienced specialists working closely together with other IT teams, our CISO and other stakeholders in an informal, dynamic global work environment. You will report to Head of IT Security Cathleen Rupf van Hoften.
Welcome to IT Security & Network, which is part of the IT Enterprise Platforms in Group IT. We collaborate cross the global GN Group. We develop, support, and maintain technologies, tools and processes that are used as a base upon which other applications, processes and technologies are developed.
As part of the IT Security team, you will help protect and enhance our global IT Security, which is based upon a zero-trust concept. This entails working with several leading technologies and vendors in the field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Design of a vulnerability management and penetration test program based on CIS controls
  • Conducting risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments, and developing effective mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with other security analysts and threat and vulnerability specialists to improve detection and alerting capabilities.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:

  • Have a minimum work experience of 3-5+ years
  • Proficient spoken and written command of English
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is required
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are desirable but not required.
  • A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and cloud platforms is essential
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, endpoint protection, and identity and access management solutions are required
  • Skilled in identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities within systems and developing strategies to mitigate these risks effectively. This involves conducting risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments
  • Have expert experience with Microsoft Sentinel and the Defender Suite.
