Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and enhance comprehensive data governance solutions for our cloud environments, aligning with current development frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Serve as a Cloud Data Security Specialist, focusing on securing data and ensuring compliance using Microsoft Purview.
  • Continuously improve and implement key functionalities needed – expanding the functions needed to develop and centralize the implementation of data governance processes in tight collaboration with the Business Intelligence Services   Data Governance team.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Services   Data Governance team to establish data estate scans and integrate data security measures with the overall governance strategy, assisting cross-functional initiatives where necessary.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in data security and contribute to the cloud team center-of-knowledge.
  • Provide 2nd level support on issues and optimization areas on existing deployed governance configurations.

Your Skillset

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in cloud development and implementation, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with data governance and scanning using Microsoft Purview.
  • Good experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, Arm and Bicep.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to cloud environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF) essential for crafting well-optimized and secure cloud services.
  • Understanding of DevOps or DevSecOps concepts and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Collaborative mindset, with a focus on working within cross-functional teams.
  • Entry-level experience with Azure Purview scanning functionality.
  • English proficiency at advanced level
  • While not required, experience with agile methodologies will be advantageous in this role.
