 Manager RTR 

The Record-to-Report Manager is a member of the Finance Operations management team and will ensure successful functioning of the RTR team, by driving business as usual activities – with no major issues or performance dip. The Record-to-Report Manager will be developing the RTR team to be able to drive integration and operational excellence, to support the ongoing large transformation.

The purpose of the Record-to-Report Manager position is to drive establishment of a Record to Report team, as part of the Service Delivery Centre (SDC) organization in Warsaw.

The Record-to-Report Manager will lead the transition of existing Record-to-Report (RTR) activities and ensure successful functioning of process.

In addition, the Record-to-Report Manager will in coordination with process excellence, support identification of improvement potential, implementation of process transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement of process performance.

Requirements

The position requires a senior finance professional, experienced in leadership positions in GBS or Shared Services organizations, showing strong operational finance understanding, transformational experience and interpersonal and leadership skills that can drive the RTR activities.

To create successful results, we foresee that the successful candidate has:

  • 8+ years of experience across Record-to-Report processes with minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial role
  • Knowledge and experience of D 365 - ERP system
  • Sound understanding of tools and systems used for Consolidation, Closing and Reporting
  • Fluent in English – spoken and written

Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead teams responsible for delivering all RTR processes including Recording of Transactions, Closing of Books, Consolidation of Financials, and Preparation and Publication of Reports
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the RTR team where required including the correct application of correct accounting standards (IFRS/country specific) and accounting policies

Timely completion of critical activities:

  • Co-ordinate with other Sub-ledger Owners (e.g., AP, AR) and ensure monthly and quarter-end data is recorded accurately
  • Ensure strict adherence to pre-determined calendar for month-end and quarter-end close for GL accounts
  • Review Trial Balance and ensure timely generation of standalone financial statements and disclosures
  • Support Group Finance in preparation of consolidated financial statements and disclosures

Effectiveness of end-to-end RTR function:

  • In close collaboration with the Process Excellence team, responsible for identifying cost saving and efficiency improvement opportunities within the RTR processes and implementing the same
  • Spearhead the execution of new tools and systems to deliver improved efficiencies and enhanced effectiveness for all RTR processes in collaboration with process excellence team

Leadership and People Management:

  • Represent the RTR team during Governance Meetings, Audit meetings, and Performance Reviews for the Finance function
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders
  • Accountable for prioritising and meeting own targets and those of reporting members while ensuring compliance with agreed standards and procedures
  • Ensure effective people management and development of the team, including - staffing and selection, integration of new staff to the teams, provision of feedback and management of people issues, development of a strong team culture
  • Monitor and report Global RTR KPIs and SLAs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Lead the RTR team conducting transition activities to the extent required to support the transition of the processes from the selected markets and regions to the SDC Warsaw
  • Manage learning and career development in the SDC Warsaw aligned with HR to adjust to capabilities needed and drive motivation
